Product Description:

QuicKeys is a powerful macro program that allows you to create shortcuts to automate computer tasks. It takes the daily tasks that would normally take you five ... six ... twenty or more steps and turns them into simple one step shortcuts. Automatically insert commonly used blocks of text, move or copy files and folders, launch your favorite web sites, open applications and documents plus so much more. The possibilities are endless; the result is always the same: more work in less time.

Using QuicKeys is easy. Just tell QuicKeys what shortcut you would like to create and then trigger that shortcut with a hot key, toolbar, timer, specified application event or even speech command. Whether you need to create multi-step shortcuts, store or retrieve text and images, reformat text, select menus, run UNIX commands, automate e-mail correspondence or connect to file servers, you can make it happen in a snap with a QuicKeys shortcut.

Even though QuicKeys requires no programming to use it still has incredible power. With QuicKeys advanced Logic

Version 3.2.2 introduced problems with Text Quickeys (at least on my French azerty keyboard) :
some characters were missing compared to the text that was supposed to be automatically typed.
The problem was acknowledged by tech support and as promised, things seem to be fixed in version 3.2.3.
Thanks for a great program which I use everyday.

QuicKeys X ReviewInvaluable program since OS 9 - Version: 3.2.2, 7/24/2008 05:55AM PST

You realize how important QuicKeys is when you sit down at a strange machine and start typing macro keystrokes - only to realize its not installed and how much more mousing and clicking you'll have to do. I've been using QuicKeys since OS9 - and while the transition to OSX was a little slow (and rocky), it's been smooth sailing since then.

My only complaint is that the serial number only allows one install - if two computers on a network have the same QuicKey serial number, it will only run on one of them. So I've always had to purchase (and upgrade) two serial numbers. In an era when many people own and use multiple CPUs, this should be changed - even Microsoft allows Office to be installed on a second machine using one license.

Over the past four/five years, QK has become one of my essential apps. Not a day goes by when I don't use it in some way or another. Some users seem to expect constant new features, but more importantly for me it's stable and does what I want. Thanks guys (Been using Macs since the 1980s).
