Audio Recorder CommentaryGreat accessibility - Version: 3.2, 8/25/2008 09:13AM PST

The author went the extra mile to make this app work well with Apple's Voice Over screen reader. Nearly everything is controllable via the keyboard and navigating around gives you clear status on what's going on. Only issue is the initial license agreement which is inaccessible. This has caused a number of blind users to reject it as unusable, which is unfortunate.

Audio Recorder Troubleshooting ReportBeautiful Application, but Crashes Consistently at about 1 hour 50 mins - Version: 3.2, 8/16/2008 05:36PM PST

I'm volunteering at a low power FM radio station, and we're trying to use Audio Recorder to archive our shows.

The application consistently crashes around 1 hour 50 minutes. This is on os X 10.5.x (10.5.2, 10.5.3) loaded on a G4 powermac. At the time of the crash we get the spinning beachball, and Audio Recorder becomes sporadically responsive, degrading eventually to constant beachball state, requiring a force quit.

I would love to use Audio Recorder. It fits all my needs (one click recording, easy to use, records to MP3).

Audio Recorder ReviewExcelent and simple recording program - Version: 3.2, 7/24/2008 04:32AM PST

I have to say that this is an excellent simple little recording program. It has the most important settings like maximum recording time, forced save intervall, split recordings into severals files and not least - on the fly saving to disk in several formats, including mp3.
It's also no problem to record in the background while continuing with other tasks. It only consumes about 8% CPU power and 25MB RAM on a voice-recording session to MP3 on the fly, while browsing the web and checking email.

For those who need a simple straight forward way to record audio into you mac I can do nothing but recommend this application. The editing of the audio can later be don in your favorite audio editing program. The only drawback is the uggly app icon :-)
