Product Description:

For a tiny bit of real estate on your desktop you get a powerful organizer. Keep your email addresses, browser favorites (bookmarks), phone numbers, postal addresses, and passwords in LinkCaddy. Never sweat it again when you change internet programs, providers, or even computers.

Born in an era of crash-prone web browsers and email programs, LinkCaddy provided a way of storing email and web addresses, passwords, and phone numbers independently and safely.

Nowadays Macs come with an address book application, yet LinkCaddy remains one of the most useful applications on this developer's computer. It is now is available for Mac OS X.

What's new in this version:

  • Back buttons and Exit buttons have been reengineered to provide sure-footed navigation across the multiple screens and multiple files of the application. After selecting your preferred startup file in Startup Options, you can open any of the application's database files without compromising the application's navigational abilities. Access your personal information randomly, from any angle you please, and from multiple screens at once.
  • Reset, a new command under the LinkCaddy Menu, returns the application to its original settings and turns all reminders back on.
  • CaddyBackup.USR, the file that stores a backup of your LinkCaddy data, includes new tools for selecting a range of dates when you want to restore only a selection of your backup records to LinkCaddy. This can save time when your database has grown very large and you're exchanging data with colleagues or a second computer. Now when you open the CaddyBackup file it asks whether to restore all the records in the file or only a selection. To test this feature using the sample data provided, use the command Backup My Info while LinkCaddy is open. Then open the CaddyBackup.USR file and use the commands (1) Unmark Sample Entries and (2) Update LinkCaddy Using Selected Dates. These and other commands are found under the LinkCaddy Menu.
