FoneLink 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Out of Beta and real nice!

Hello gryphonent we have taken your comments to heart and have rewritten the FoneLink engine for FoneLink 2.0. It is much faster and more stable, supports more phones and fixes many small issues :-) So please go ahead and try again. I bet this time you have more stars for us! Sincerely Jan Fuellemann (nova media) [alert admin]

iSync phone plugins 6.0 (Mac OS X)

Hi Gulliver64

I already tried to tell it to you: First of all you get free updates for 12 months after your purchase. Second, you do *not* need to update. You can stay with your current software as long as you keep your cell phone. Even then you can still use more than a 100 already supported phones. Third, this software is a "plugin" as the name tells. We can not change iSync. Missing Sync is a real software. They *can* change things, if you ask nice. But we can not adapt to them as we are only a plugin. Fourth, you pay only around 10 US-$. You can use more than 155 cell phones with our plugins. You get free support. I call this fair. And yes, the reason for an update of a *plugin* is to add new phones. Again, we can not add any functionality. For this, please use FoneLink. It will sync, transfer data, do SMS text and more. So I really would like you to go over you review, look what you get for US-$ (or your free update, remember?) and change your words and you rating. Just to stay on the site that reads "fair review" instead of "blackmail". What do you think? Best Jan Fuellemann (nova media) [alert admin]

iSync phone plugins 5.2 (Mac OS X)

@jimbo95

Hello jimbo95, I am sorry for the trouble you ran into. The T250i uses the same platform as most other Sony Ericsson phones, so the synchronisation should work, even though you might need to use a USB cable instead. Since we do offer support for more than 150 cell phones, many of them are not even available here in Germany. So we have to rely on working with our customers to offer a working solution and there is no shame in that - otherwise we would not see iSync support for many cell phones at all :-) But if a customer helps us like you did in supporting a new phone, the software is free for him or her, and my collegue will get back to you with a refund, of course. So thanks again for pointing out and I hope this clarifies the "why and who did this happen" questions and I encourage everyone to send us the info about the phones you would like to see supported as you did before and report errors as well. We are humans, but still strive to help you as best as we can. Cheers Jan Fuellemann (nova media) [alert admin]

FoneLink 1.5.3 (Mac OS X)

@ toomas

Hi, could you please check if you are using an external Bluetooth adapter? We know that some are not delivering the signal strength they should, so you might have to exchange that one. For the N95, you need to use the latest firmware - older firmware has some bugs in the communication. Thank you Jan Fuellemann (nova media) [alert admin]

FoneLink 1.5 (Mac OS X)

Still version 1.2.2, version 1.5 coming soon!

Dear Users, we had to withdraw version 1.5 since the installer did not work with 10.4.11 in some cases. If you download the demo now, you will download version 1.2.2. Please look out for the new version 1.5 for Macworld in Januar at the latest. Thank you! Jan Fuellemann [alert admin]

FoneLink 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)

To halldorg1

Dear Halldorg, we no tried to reach you for several days and you did not respond. You changed to a new Mac and you claimed FoneLink could not be activated. When we asked for you to give us the Hardware ID (The unique "name" of any Apple computer), it was "00000000". This is not an Hardware ever used for a product by Apple which goes on sale and therefore any program using a Hardware ID for registration will malfunction on your Computer. Then we apologized for this inconvenience and asked you to send us the system profiler file, so that we can check if there is a malfunction either on your motherboard or on the software or if you are using a program to "cloak" this hardware ID. We are still waiting for your response and until you e-mail us, we can *not* help you in any way. So if you change your mind, send an e-mail to mac@novamedia.de. Jan Fuellemann [alert admin]

The Samsung OS does not support it :-(

Hi, many cell phones do not support to read the SMS from the phone to a connected computer using the standard SyncML or OBEX commands. This is the case with your phone as well. I am sorry, but we are limited to the possibilities of the operating system on the phone. Kind regards Jan Fuellemann

Getting Better

Hi, you are right, of course. We are, however, limited by iSync structure. Most LG phones are impossible to add to iSync. But I promise you, we look into it every time again. Especially since we do have much more flexibility with FoneLink, as we use our own sync-engine there. I think we will see the first LGE phones supported with this software in the next months. Thanks again for your comments, Jan Fuellemann

support for Samsung Poor

Hello, we do support more than 50 Samsung phones. I certainly can understand that you would love to have yours supported as well, but to call that poor is ... well, poor. Oh, and did you see we do support BenQ phones as well? Anyway, if there is already another plugin for your phone I am glad you can use this. In general: For us as a german company we can not test non-GSM phone like some…

support for Samsung Poor

Hello, the problem is that Samsung uses more than 4 different operating systems in their phones. Some of these have to possible access via iSync - so we can not support them at all. So perhaps you can alter your rating? I think it a bit unfair that we have to take the blame for the OS of a manufacturer. Expecially we do support more Samsung cell phones than everybody else!!! Thanks Jan Fuellemann

Full of bugs

Hi, can you send an e-mail to mac@novamedia.de to sort out the issues? The N95 need the latest firmaware to work correctly and with 10.5 and 10.5.1 the bluetooth from Apple is buggy - 10.5.2 is much more relieable. But as we want to give you a satisfactory usage, please send us the mail! Thank you Jan Fuellemann (nova media)
