Seagull Video Player 2.3 (Mac OS X)
these hasty comments. If you read the information carefully, you'll see that it only costs $89.95. Where you got this outrageously preposterous $90 price tag, I have no idea! [alert admin]

Catalogger 1.0 (Mac OS 9)
don't know this already, dropping a disk or folder on a BBEdit window will paste a tree catalog of it. Tabs are used but you can replace them all with spaces or lines or whatever you want in a split second. So until this program offers more than an already existing feature, I'll only give it 3 stars for the effort. Suggested feature can be to filter out certain types of files, decide how many levels to go down in a hierarchy, deciding the styles of the tree (i.e bold for folders, italics for aliases, etc...) Seagull Video Player 2.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
evolved drastically in the last couple of months. It's worth the download now, and soon, I'm sure it will be worth the 20$. I'm glad the developer has done his homework. Just one comment: the product description on this page can be condensed a bit. Less is more you know. [alert admin]

GraphicConverter 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9)
this Conrad dude has a specific agenda. To see what I mean, look in the Debabelizer forum where you'll discover that he's a proud owner of Debab, (which is only 20 times more expensive than GC). And while Conrad tries to sound objective and analytical in this forum, there in the other forum, he calls GC pathetic and useless. To Conrad, I say, you're wasting your time. The GC fanatics here are not going to buy your b.s and go spend a fortune on Debab, unless it's 20 times better than GC (Unfortunately it's not.) We happen to love GC, and you seem to love debab. Accept this painful reality and move on. Don't even waste your time replying. Go do your job using what you want to use, and let us use what we love most. [alert admin]

Golden Key 1.0.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I'm afraid I can't do that. I really can not respond to yet another emotional reaction of yours, because I respect VersionTracker guidelines, and I also don't rely on name calling to defend my views. So I'll just do what I do best. Give a 1 star rating and then go get some fresh air. Thanks for reminding me. Why a 1 star rating? Well because: A- This app awkwardly locks hidden icon files when it shouldn't. B- The Finder icons don't get updated to show their locked status. C- The same task can be done faster and more reliably with an 8 line AppleScript D- 1.8mb app size and a 2 mb RAM requirement are a bit too much for a one simple trick pony. [alert admin]

Keyboard Korrector 1.0a1 (Mac OS 9)
think it is nothing but a half baked app. I can't even count the errors I got everytime I tried to do anything with it. I'm even glad that save is disabled because the idea of making these system patches permanent is scary when the app that's making them is so unstable. Basically, this app is messing around with system resources to a point where it will require reinstalling the system to undo the damage. Also, what the author doesn't seem to be aware of is that there are many apps that don't rely completely on the system key mapping, and messing around with the control key and option key for example will create some unpleasant surprises. To know exactly what I mean, try working with photoshop after using it and making some changes. I would really prefer a system extension that temporarily changes things without touching my system, and I can disable it when I want. Final word to the author: Dude, keep your hands off my system, at least until I switch to OS X, where your buggy app won't be effective anyway. [alert admin]

Note Form 2.2 (Mac OS 9)
previous posts simply because they don't apply anymore...but at least they helped the author, first to check his spelling, second to discover this little function called ReplaceAll in RealBasic, and finally not to compile his app only for 68k machines. He doesn't have to thank me. Just glad I could help. [alert admin]

anyway about the votes and the ratings. I'm running it, and it's smooth, stable and feels faster than the previous version. Even if the average rating was 3.4 or 2 or 1, I'm not going to stop using it. Same for someone who's experiencing problems, the stars won't mean anything to them, neither will what I'm writing right now. Just get it, try it and see if it works for you. [alert admin]

it or not, it's noticeably faster. No crashes whatsoever, simply because I trashed the prefs before running it. I'm sure with the new additions to the preferences, the old prefs file may get corrupt and causes the crashes mentioned below. My favorite new feature is the choice to open pages from other apps in a new window. Simple pleasures for simple minds, I know, but I find it useful. [alert admin]
