iBarcoder 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Okay this product works as stated. But do you really need to pay like 20 bucks? I just download a barcode font, plug it into Word, and voila, brand new barcodes. Plus you can mass generate them in Word, whereas it's ratheer hard in iBarcoder. [alert admin]

Does what it says, but it's overkill ![]()

For me, this is overkill. All the conversions I need are neatly stored away within Apple's Calculator program-- including currency conversions. So this program is overkill for me, although for some people it might be useful. Also, Apple's Calculator is free. [alert admin]

GameMaker 3.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
This program has great support, and is constantly updated. I bought it for $15 back when it was in earlier stages, and have loved every update since. Can't wait to see v4.0! [alert admin]

I'm just waiting for this to be listed on PerversionTracker.com. First of all, the interface could be made so much simpler-- the developer didn't think it through. Secondly, 750KB for an app like this? I've seen 3D games that are 1MB, and this isn't anywhere near 3D. This app implements a simple "magic" trick that uses the process of deduction to do what it-- erm... does. I'm glad it's freeware, because if it actually cost anything I'd be dreadfully frightened. So with that said, I give it 1 star for the developer coding the application, and 1 star for it getting a 5 star rating from someone else. Cheers! [alert admin]

AnoniSurf 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I just decided to see what Anonymizer could pick up when this program is in use. Go to http://www.anonymizer.com/ and take their privacy test in your normal web browser. Then use AnoniSurf. See how much they pick up (you'll notice the IP address is wrong). Enjoy! [alert admin]

ConvertIt 1.0.0b6 (Mac OS X)
How is this any different from Apple's built-in calculator? Apple has pretty much all of those conversions within it's calculator tool. But good job, a good coding starter. [alert admin]

The database currently has 30 servers in it. A PHP script checks which servers in the database are fastest, and then uses that one. So there are many servers, just a lot of them are slow. That is why we ask people to install CGIProxy (if their host permits it) and send us the URL so we can include it in our database.

It works as the developer says
Some people go to websites that follow your every move so they can do marketing research, and then they flood you with pop-up ads. Also, so people are just paranoid and feel safer when they can't be detected. This script was not made for breaking the rules, as the disclaimer states. Please also visit James Marshall's disclaimer at 'http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy/#legal'. I'm hoping that in a later version (v1.5 perhaps?) you'll just have a little icon in…

This problem has already been encountered before. You haven't entered the FULL URL. Please enter it as it says in the example below the URL field. For example, http://www.fgsoft.net/ instead of www.fgsoft.net. Thanks! - Tim Jurka

Yeah, I'm making several small interface changes in the next version. It isn't necessary to resize the window, so I'll just disable all buttons...

This version had an error in it which deleted the 'lbs.' sign in it. You should enter your weight in kilograms or pounds, and it will produce the appropriate weight. This should all be fixed in version 1.4.

You should probably download the latest version of this software before using it. Within the next few days (week of 3/2/04) you will see a major update on our software.

Online validators do not have many of the features that Flamin'[404] does have. For example, you cannot start the online validator for a large site and then have it email you the results. Online validators are also known to crash when checking sites with 100+ items/links. And finally, who wants to type in a long URL everytime they want to check a URL. Flamin'[404] also has an auto-checking feature-- so you can schedule when to…
