Cyberduck 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Downloaded twice. There is no 'installer' in the download and no installation instructions. First I made a new folder in my Apps folder and copied everything into it. Double clicking on the Cyberduck app resulted in...NOTHING. Then I tried copying just the Cyberduck app into my Apps and tried it again....nothing again. Then I went to the Cyberduck forums, joined and found that several people are experiencing the same thing with Mac OS 10.4.11. Anyone else with this problem or a solution to it? [alert admin]

Audion X 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Streaming Radio DISAPPEARED !!
For 2 years I have very happy with Audion and used it every day. I have enjoyed being able to select from hundreds of radio stations and sat out on my deck listening to Atlanta Blues while sipping a Corona Light. Perfect Retirement days! Up until a couple of days ago when ALL I had in my streaming window was a notice to upgrade Shoutcast. Double clicking on that brings an error, so now I am forced to look for another streaming radio to replace Audion. A damn shame, and a pox on you, Shoutcast! I would appreciate any help from any kind soul out there. [alert admin]

I really like your program but have these problems so far with it. 1. I can't select individual tracks to rip. All are selected and grayed out. 2. The check boxes don't work for select all and select none. 3. The CD is not ejected after encoding. 4. Dragging the CD icon to trash makes the icon disappear but doesn't eject. 5. The only way to eject is to use Disk Utility. 6. During ripping/encoding a message asks if you really want to quit the program. When you hit cancel the ripping/encoding continues as normal. Even with all these annoyances I can use the program but can't leave it unattended because of #6 above. I'm using OS 10.4.3 on a G4 dual 450 gigabit. I hope this info helps. Thanks. The "deep sleep issue" is a big ho-hum. How much trouble is it to boot up? Are you in such a big hurry? FYI, there have always been problems surrounding deep sleep, and Apple still has not made it totally fool-proof. It's best to just let your screensaver work during long periods of work, then just turn off your machine when you are through for the day! I don't blame any software/hardware company for not touching deep sleep. [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.8.2 (Mac OS X)
I am now using 10.4.2, upgraded from a standalone download from Apple. Previously VLC worked okay. Now, the program starts, the console shows, the movie starts. About 10 seconds later the program quits altogether. The same thing happens even if I am just opening the program, not a movie: the console shows up and 10 seconds later everything shuts down. I have repaired permissions, repaired the disk, reinstalled VLC, even reinstalled 10.4/10.4.1/10.4.2. Re-downloaded VLC and reinstalled from the new copy. Same problem over and over. I switched the player from VLC to Quicktime Pro with Divx and all the movies play fine. However, I would like to have VLC functioning. Any help from anyone out there? [alert admin]

TabletMagic 1.0b7 (Mac OS X)
TabletMagic is about 60% completed. At this stage it does give hope for people stuck with the older tablets. However, hope is about all there is so far. The program shows signs that it wants to do a good job and I spent 3 hours attempting to make it work. I use a G4/450DP with a gig of Ram, a 120 gig drive and OS 10.3.8, so there isn't a problem on my end. I'm hoping you will devote time to completion of the serial project instead of starting on adb. I'd also be happy to pay a shareware price if the program worked correctly. Zhmmy [alert admin]
